Classroom upgrades and innovations

The School of Information explores an uncharted field that combines many academic disciplines with the practical, hands-on experiences of how information is sought, used, and shared in our society. The nature of this field requires professors and students to work collaboratively and to have access to cutting-edge technology. The I School — the newest professional school at UC Berkeley — is located in the oldest building on campus, South Hall. The I School has on ongoing need to upgrade the classrooms and public spaces in South Hall to better meet the needs of its faculty and students. This includes creating flexible working and teaching environments equipped with the latest educational technology.
