UC Berkeley Extension has been bringing Berkeley’s educational resources to the broader community since 1891, enhancing careers and improving lives. Each year, UC Berkeley Extension has more than 30,000 enrollments and 1,400 courses. Underlying these offerings is a dedication to academic excellence.

Yet UC Berkeley Extension is not funded by UC Berkeley or the state of California, and must be self-supporting. We turn to those in the communities we serve to help us meet changing educational needs and keep course fees affordable. With this support, we can continue to develop innovative education, provide the facilities and technology students need, and fulfill our public mission.
