The Campaign for Berkeley

UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley

Planting the future

The impact of environmental degradation is of paramount worldwide concern. With a premiere living museum collection of over 12,000 types of plants from around the world, the UC Botanical Garden acts as a global gene bank and promotes environmental responsibility. Its collection provides invaluable teaching tools in plant science to UC Berkeley students and the public, while its innovative outreach program transforms inner-city schoolyards and inspires disadvantaged communities to become stakeholders in our planet’s future. The UC Botanical Garden seeks to raise endowments to support its preeminent collection and programs and to ensure the Garden’s security long into the future.
